Cereal Drive – FFT & Dynamic Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic

Aug 25/25

Why a Cereal Drive?

To stock school shelves for the upcoming year, Brandon’s Food for Thought Program is teaming up with Dynamic Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic to collect nut-free cereal for students from K-Grade 12.  MB School Nutrition Guidelines are followed to ensure every child has access to nutritious options.

Most-Needed Cereals (Nut-Free)

  • Multigrain Cheerios/Plain Cheerios/Toasted Oat O’s/Cheerios Veggie Blends
  • Oatmeal Squares
  • Chex (Rice, Corn, Cinnamon)
  • Mini-Wheats (low sugar)
  • Corn Flakes
  • Rice Krispies/Crispy Rice
  • Crispix
  • Instant Oatmeal packs (variety, apple/cinnamon, peach, regular)

Why It Matters

-1 in 5 Canadian children live in food-insecure households.

-Students may arrive hungry due to rushed mornings, caring for siblings, lack of food at home, long commutes, or early drop-offs.

-Nutritious food improves learning, behaviour, focus, and social skills.
